¡Famke Janssen en X3!

Alan Cumming recently spoke about how the third "X-Men" is progressing to LatinoReview and seemed happy that Bryan Singer has left the franchise - "I'm not disappointed, I can't deny it. I think he's really talented. I'm very proud of the film. I think it's a great film. I didn't enjoy working with him on the film".

Cumming isn't too sure of a replacement - "That's a really hard act to follow. It's quite a specific thing to direct a movie like that that's so huge and you have to really know your stuff about actual comic books and that's what Bryan was."

In regards to the Joss Whedon rumours, Cumming says "I don't think he is though. I heard that too last year, but I don't know. I don't think that's happening. Maybe it is. It certainly seems to be that was around, but I don't know. I mean, I think he'd be great."

In terms of his return, Cumming is definitely signed on, and he's just waiting for the script and director to fall in place - "I signed for two films so I'm going to. The last I heard is that we're starting on the 20th of June, but I don't think that's going to because they don't have a script or a director yet. But apparently they have to release it in May of 2006 for some reason, so it's going to be shot in the summer."

Shawn Ashmore - Iceman in 'X-Men 2' - was said to be the frontrunner to play Jimmy Olsen in "Superman", but then, Sam Huntington gets the gig. So what happened? "Fox is telling actors who have options for the third, untitled X-Men film that it will begin shooting June 20th," alleges Hollywood Hitlist. In otherwords, Ashmore had to do the "X-Men" film, and wouldn't be able to fit in "Superman".

Famke Janssen - 'Jean Grey' in the "X-Men" films - mentioned that she's flying to Sydney to meet with Bryan Singer about a role in "Superman". Should she get a part, chances are she too will be out of "X-Men 3", and considering the storyline was said to be revolving around her character's transformation into the 'Dark Phoenix', that's major. Not surprisingly, word is that a new draft is being penned for the film as we speak by Zak Penn.<hr></blockquote>

IGN FilmForce has learned that the shortlist of directors to succeed Bryan Singer as director of "X-Men 3" has been narrowed to five or six names. One of those names, according to a trusty source, is Zack Snyder ("Dawn of the Dead"). 20th Century Fox is expected to make a final decision shortly.

¡Zack Snyder! ¡Ojalá!

Dos cosas:

1) Mardsen puede ser sustitido sin problemas porque

a) No tiene carisma (aunque recién lo vi en una joyita llamada "Interestatal 60" que está increíble)
b) Su presencia ha estado tan limitada en los anteriores filmes que se hace dificil ubicarlo en algún momento memorable de cualquiera de los dos filmes rodados hasta la fecha.

2) Zack Snyder sería un gran director para X-Men porque ya tiene experiencia a la hora de retratar grupos heterogéneos y sabe dar la suficiente cancha en pantalla a personajes secundarios (y la familia mutante es amplia de por sí). También sabe componer buenas escenas de acción, tensión y atmósfera.

Sin duda es la opción más sensata, aunque la única preocupación que me sobrevuela se refiere a si sabrá seguir la línea marcada por Singer o hará tantos cambios que parecerá el contraste de los Batman de Burton a los de Schumacher.

Yo para Gambito escogeria a Rupert Everett. No es que me caiga demasiado bien, pero me da el aspecto... Y de la Bestia, convenientemente maquillado de azul ( y por complexion y rostro) a Michael Clarke Duncan.

Halle Berry didn't rule out her return as Storm in recent comments to The New York Post saying that she'll come back as long as Storm gets a juicier part - "Storm has been a little shortchanged. If we go back and do one more, which we're all in talks of doing, it will be paramount that Storm rise up and be the true warrior and woman that she is in the comic book, which was why I got involved in the first place"
Halle Berry dice más o menos que esta dispuesta a volver si su personaje se parece más a los comics(o más bien que ella aparezca más en la peli jejeje),y es un personaje más brillante y guerrero que en las anteriores.

Para mi el Gambito perfecto es Timothy Oliphant, por lo menos con las pintas con las que salía en "La vecina de al lado". Es que lo clava con esa pinta de machote "sobrao".
La Bestia... pues un CGI con voz carismática. Creo que Patrick Warbuton sería idóneo.
Respecto al Angel yo veo a James Marsters (el Spike de "Buffy").

A Rupert Everet lo veo más bien como un Magneto rejuvenecido (seamos honestos, Ian Mackellen no va a durar siempre)

Aint it Cool News reports that Matthew Vaughn, director of "Layer Cake", will direct "X-Men 3" for Fox. Their source also indicates that "It sounds like Zak Penn's script is the one that Fox is using, and this director should be able to mine layers and layers of subtext out of the material".

Penn, who has played a big hand behind the scenes in the "X-Men" franchise so far, is said to have penned a script revolving around the Dark Phoenix saga. As of now Hugh Jackman, Famke Janssen, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Alan Cumming are all coming back, and Halle Berry is still undecided. A Memorial Day 2006 date is also said to still be targeted.

Vamos que esta confirmado que apareceran Gambito y La Bestia y no se sabe todavia si aparecera Angel o no. La participacion de Hugh, Famke, Ian, y Patrick ya esta confirmada y la de Anna Paquin se sabra a finales de semana, quedan pendientes Halle y James.

Parece que aparte de la saga del Phoenix tambien estaran involucrados los Centinelas y un personaje llamado Dr. Bolivar Trask.

Pinta bien, pero una de las cosas que me gustaba de las anteriores es que la trama no se dispersaba por varios frentes intentando abarcar mucho, eran mas concretas y entretenidas. No se aqui si incluyen a Phoenix y Centinelas hara que gane en espectacularidad y pierda en eficacia.

La Saga de Fénix estaba relacionada con "El Club Fuego Infernal", a lo mejor se las apañan para relacionarla con los Centinelas de Trask... que tampoco está nada mal.

Speaking at the British Independent Film Awards in London last night, veteran actor Sir Ian McKellan confirmed he'll return as Magneto if filmmakers make another sequel reports Contact Music.

Sir Ian says, "X-Men and its story is about mutants, about people who feel disaffected with society, and whom society is hard on, appeals most to young blacks, young Jews and young gays. That's why I did the movie and that's why I intend to do the third movie if it happens."

McKellan continued on, hinting about the spin-off prequel to his character "If my character is in it and if he's my age. They might bring Magneto back but it may be the young Magneto. Who knows?"

Juggernaut is perhaps best known for being an "unstoppable" force. While he can certainly be slowed by mountains or bombs or cannons, it is said that only he can stop himself. Tengo muchísimas ganas de saber cómo va la peli, pq puede ser una pasada de película o un tostón total, en vista de lo ambicioso y la cantidad de personajes que pretenden meter en la peli...

Era una chavalita de 13 que nace en la época de Claremont, casi al principio de la nueva Patrulla X. Tuvo un miniromance con coloso, sé que luego tuvo un nombre de guerra pero no sabría decirte....en XMen 1 y 2 sale en plan cameo.

Kitty Pride era Ariel, y su poder era entrar en fase en los objetos sólidos. La mejor manera de conocerla y saber de qué palo va es leerse esa obra maestra de Claremont llamada Dios ama, el hombre mata (La cual, curiosamente, es la base de X2).

Lo de Kelsey Grammer me suena como aquello de que Santiago Segura se presentó al casting de La Bestia para X2... Coña marinera.
