I didn't see this posted anyway Western Digital have launched a minor update to the WDTV Live called the "WDTV Live Plus".
It's basically an updated box with Netflix support (only useful in USA) but also DVD menu support the chip is now a Sigma 8654 no major differences from the WDTV Live 8655 other than DRM support hence Netflix support.
The 8654 does have 3D video support so maybe one day WD will enable that on the Plus.
Also Western Digital have put up a pre-release firmware with DVD menu support for the regular WDTV Live.
Before anyone gets their hopes up about BBC iPlayer support the Sigma 8654AD chipset is whats in the forthcoming Viewsonic VMP74, the WDTV Live Plus may not have this variation though I certainly hope it does as it's also rocking a web browser too.
