A mysterious emergency signal is sent by the fog-flooded planet Aura. Captain Mark Markary (Barry Sullivan) of the spaceship Argos tries to get to the bottom of the call. When the ship gets too close to the alien planet, it is forcibly pulled to the ground. The crew discovers a seemingly abandoned ship and a huge skeleton in front of its entrance. An eerie creature from a strange world awaits the crew and there is nothing good in mind. Mario Bavas hypnotic-captivating science fiction horror transfers the horror of his Gothic horror works to the 26th. century. With a lot of artificial fog, skillful camera work and a grandiose cast around western star Barry Sullivan (40 GUNS), Bava created the blueprint for alien horror, which would shape the cinema for decades to come.
