Parece que la edición sencilla Italiana ya está disponible en tiendas físicas de allí, y hay quién ya la ha adquirido.
Comentan que los fondos parecen tener mejor acabado en cuanto a texturas y demás, comparado con la copia digital en 4K SDR que estuvo disponible en su momento antes de ser retirada de la circulación ( y que han podido comparar con el disco físico por que aun circula por ahí) y el CGI en general parece más pulido. El contraste de la imagen también parece haber sido retocado, y la imagen ya no da esa sensación de estar ligeramente lavada. En cualquier caso, todo es muy sutil.
Únicamente hay disponibles subtítulos en italiano tanto para la película como para los contenidos adicionales.
En cuanto a los extras se confirma que hay un audiocomentario de Coppola, un breve mini reportaje detrás de las cámaras, y un par de documentales de generosa duración.
PD: Y si, el disco cuenta con Dolby Vision para el vídeo y Dolby Atmos para el audio.

Más cosas, la película tiene los carteles y demás que aparecen durante el metraje traducidos al Italiano y esto no se puede modificar de ninguna manera: se especula con que pueda suceder lo mismo con la edición francesa y la británica, con lo cual la autoría (y los subtítulos), serían específicos para cada país.
Sobre el audiocomentario de Coppola, parece ser que lo primero que dice nada más empezar la película es lo siguiente: Hola a todos, soy Francis Coppola y contrariamente a lo que hayais podido leer y escuchar sobre mí en los últimos dos años, ni estoy loco, ni estoy senil, ni soy adicto a la marihuana (!), y Megalopolis es exactamente como yo quería que fuese.

No sé si habrá problema de stock de la edición en steelbook, pero si no es así, pa la estantería que se viene...
EDITO: De hecho ya he tenido ocasión de ver la película, pero he decidido esperarme a tenerla en UHD y disfrutarla tanto física como audiovisualmente...

Muthur, he podido echarle un vistazo al BD info del Blu-ray 1080p Italiano, (y del disco alemán también), y para mi sorpresa pone que la V.O está en Dolby Atmos.
Mi pregunta es... ¿no son las pistas en Dolby Atmos coto exclusivo de los discos UHD? ¿O estaba yo equivocado?

Como dice Ponyo no tiene que ver. En blu-ray suelen usar DTS-HD MA o el Dolby Digital de toda la vida, pero para títulos recientes ya utilizan Atmos, al menos para la V.O. En UHD hay una especie de "complejo" de audio HD, y siempre que pueden meten Atmos (o DTS:X, pero menos), o al menos remezclan las pistas originales para obtener mezclas multicanal e hinchar las especificaciones del audio, aunque no tenga mucho sentido (pistas originales en mono/stereo y las pasan a DTS/DD 5.1, para "aparentar").

Una amiga ha comprado la copia digital española y me ha confirmado que efectivamente los textos y carteles de la película aparecen en castellano y no cambian a inglés aunque se seleccione la pista de audio en versión original.
