Elf 4K (2003)

This hilarious Christmas film tells the tale of a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts on Christmas Eve and is transported back to the North Pole and raised as an elf. BD vs UHD..

The UHD has tons more detail than the original low bitrate BR. Screen clip comparisons where you can see all the detail in his coat in the new UHD that is very soft in the BR.
As always, don't get hung up on the color difference when looking at HDR clip converted to SDR. Though there has clearly been some re-coloring done as first noticed in the orphanage scene where they tried to make it look more like nighttime. (Done with MPC-BE w/MadVr).

Few more. And to clarify the previous post, there is a lot more detail in this vs the old BR but overall this is still a relatively soft for most shots. I don't know if that is due to the original or if they just were using an old master that wasn't scanned with current 4k+ methods. I didn't have an issue with the old image being soft so this not always being tack sharp isn't an issue for me either as it is a type of movie that is suited to a slightly softer image.
Also, the revisionist colorist thing can be found throughout. Nothing that ruins it imo but still very clearly retimed vs the previous more natural color that I wished they had left alone. Holiday movies having bold bright colors is desirable. Brown snow is not.

Me gusta mucho esta película, creo que está infravalorada o prácticamente desconocida.

Cobrada pero aún no enviada. Me parece una gran película navideña que todavía no se le ha puesto en su sitio, ojalá algún día se le reconozca su valía.

Yo diría que no.

Elf no se ha editado en bluray ni en UHD en España.
La edición británica trae latino en el bluray y la única edición que existe en UHD parece que tiene spanish pero casi seguro que es latino.

Vista y la transferencia es sobresaliente, toda una sorpresa
