Pues pone "unrestored" y el tráiler viene a 1080p...

Es que así le llaman a esta "nueva" versión.

An unrestored 70mm print of Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece "2001: A Space Odyssey" is coming to select U.S. theaters in May in celebration of the film's 50th anniversary.Warner Bros. Pictures says Wednesday that the cut will premiere at the Cannes Film Festivalon May 12 before launching in select U.S. theaters on May 18. Filmmaker Christopher Nolanwill introduce the film at the Cannes premiere, where members of Kubrick's family will also be in attendance. Kubrick died in 1999.
The studio says that the unrestored film, created from the original camera negative, will allow audiences to experience it as they did upon the film's release in 1968.
Warner Bros. will also later in the year release the film for home viewing in 4K resolution.

Se refieren a que han acudido al negativo original de cámara y que no han manipulado digitalmente la imagen para cambiar nada. Viene a ser una curiosa forma de decir que lo han tratado con la mayor fidelidad y pureza posible.

Y el trailer está a 1080 porque así han decidido publicarlo en Youtube, nada más.

La verdad es que tengo muchísima curiosidad por ver esta remasterización. Puede quedar absolutamente espectacular.

Reestreno,yo en los años 70 la vi varias veces en 70mm con sonido de 6 pistas en el ya desaparecido Cine Ambassador de Montevideo,todo un orgasmo cinematográfico,todos los años la reestrenaban.
