End Of Show reports that Columbia Pictures has finally given
The Social Network an official greenlight.
David Fincher is officially signed on, and the site claims the film has a $47 million budget and will begin production in October.
Loaded Gun have heard that scouts are actively looking for film locations in Cambridge and Boston.

Ben Mezrich’s book
The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal, The Social Network tells the story of Eduardo Saverin and Mark Zuckerberg, the founders of Facebook. The screenplay was written by
Aaron Sorkin, and the 162-page first draft has been
described as “Unpredictable, Funny, Touching and Sad.”
