Quote:
Topher Grace and Dan Harris on Superman
Posted on Mon, 6-Dec-2004

The rumour that Topher Grace and Mischa Barton were up for the roles of Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane, respectively, in Bryan Singer's "Superman", was debunked a few weeks back. But today, IESB caught up with Grace to blab about the BS.

Grace told the site that he's heard the rumours - of him playing cub journalist, Jimmy - but stressed that he's not once been approached for the part. Interestingly, he says he has a good idea who has been cast for the role though.

In addition, "he [Grace] recently ran into Mischa Barton of O.C., and jokingly asked her if they were going to be in Superman together. She also said she would not be in the film".

Meantime, Zap2it caught up with scribe Dan Harris, who said things are going well for the production. "We're on our third draft right now and we've done the requisite first draft. We chopped off 10 to 15 pages because it was too expensive."

Harris couldn't say what the scene was that was too expensive, but he did say Warner Bros. is building a three-block four-story Metropolis on their backlot in Australia which looks "incredible."

"The script is being molded and is coming along really well, we're tweaking things, it's not like 'X-Men' where we had 28 drafts and did major shifts in the plot all the time," admits Harris.
