Joder, era el favorito y, precisamente, dejaron su categoría como colofón final a la ceremonia.

Cuando ganó el BATFA Hopkins yo creo que ya se vio el cambio de tendencia.

Yo voté por Hopkins -en encuestas de favoritos y vaticinios- y pronostiqué en este foro que ganaría Hopkins . Sinceramente, el fenómeno Bouseman fue una cortina de humo promovida por su fallecimiento, nunca vi esa interpretación digna de Oscar.

El año pasado fueron unos Oscars de rebajas porque muchas peliculas no se estrenaron. Este año algunas de las nominadas o son peliculas que se tenian que haber estrenado el año pasado o bien son peliculas que no pudieron llegar a tiempo para estrenarse en 2.021 por pararse los rodajes.

Algunas de las peliculas nominadas o incluso premiadas no lo hubieran sido en un año normal.

Dicho esto, el Oscar de Hopkins es merecidisimo.

Pienso que Nomadland lo hubiese tenido muy dificil en un año normal de estrenos.

Es cierto que fue una edición atípica, rara, digna de un año raro. Pero vamos, que este ha comenzado de lo más esperanzador
Incluso fue raro en el período elegible, que se alargó unos meses más, como si fuera alguna de esas tres o cuatro ediciones iniciales de los Oscar en los años 20.
Aún así, me quedo con algunas maravillas en ese año "raro", como Otra ronda o Una joven prometedora, que me volaron la cabeza.

No va a suceder.

Ya... pero, ¿y si arrasa?.

Qué no va a ocurrir.

Bueno...

Habiendo visto anoche Belfast no comprendo la nominación de Judi Dench por encima de Caitrona Balfe. Por ahora de este año solo he visto Dune, West Side Story, Belfast y No mires arriba. Y Menos al de Adam McKay, las otras tres no me desgradarían como ganadoras.

Este finde quiero verme El poder del perro, Licorice y Coda

Judi Dench tiene el factor veteranía, que siempre ayuda. Pero yo tampoco lo entiendo porque ese factor veteranía no les sirvió a Ellen Burstyn o al regreso de Sofía Loren después de 10 años sin hacer cine para ser nominadas al Oscar por Fragmentos de una mujer y La vida por delante, respectivamente.
Por otra parte, esta nominación por sorpresa y “in extremis” a Dench ya se siente como un premio para ella y le resta emoción al desenlace de esta categoría, durante la gala, o sea, el Oscar para Ariana Debose.

Los mejores papeles de Belfast son Caitriona y el niño, en mi opinión.

Para mi Otra Ronda y Una joven prometedora fue lo mejor del año pasado, indiscutiblemente.

Anoche se celebró en ceremonia presencial la 72ª edición de los premios del gremio de montadores, los Eddie Awards.

Según he consultado, Jessica Chastain es la nueva favorita de gurús y expertos, ¿qué opináis? En mi opinión, sería 100% merecido, tanto por la interpretación, que recoge los Oscar baits de una interpretación nominable a un Oscar. Por trayectoria también la merece y cualquier profesional del cine creo que estaría encantado con la decisión.

Otra opción que no se está considerando es que el resto de gremios que no sean los actores decidan apoyar a Kristen Stewart.

Nicole Kidman no la veo con un segundo Oscar por esta película. Sorpresa mayúscula sería ganarlo Olivia Colman o Penelope Cruz.

Eso parece, según las quinielas. Que la cosa está entre Jessica Chastain (pese a que muchos opinan que la película es bastante normalita, por decirlo finamente) o Nicole Kidman. El gremio de actores nos sacará de dudas, aunque yo no veo a Stewart ganándolo, y mi corazoncito va con Pe.

Han habido ganadoras a mejor actriz por películas mediocres, recuerdo los casos de Julianne Moore por Siempre Alice o Meryl Streep por La dama de hierro. En todo caso la calidad de la película no sería obstáculo para Chastain. En los casos citados había un revuelo mediático generalizado de que se merecían ya el Oscar, no sé si con Chastain si consideraría igual o creen que puede tener oportunidades mejores.

Mi corazoncito también va con Pe, quería con todas mis fuerzas que alcanzara la nominación y mi intuición me dice que es suficiente premio. No veo a Penelope con 2 Oscars, pero tampoco veía a Renee Zellwegger y ahí está la tía con sus 2 flamantes estatuillas. Hace décadas un actor con 2 Oscars era una leyenda del cine. Que eso lo equipare la actriz de Bridget Jones por hacer de Bridget Jones dice mucho de cuanto han cambiado y se han devaluado estos premios.

La gala de los Independent Spirit Awards se ha adelantado este año. Anoche tuvo lugar y consagró el debut en la dirección de Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Jessica Chastain sigue ganando terreno en la carrera, yo creo que finalmente se lo llevará ella.

Yo tengo ganas de ver si la Academia rompe su convencionalismo y es capaz de premiar a "The power of the dog" como mejor película.

Es cierto que la Academia ha ido cambiando y los miembros cada vez son más jóvenes, pero no les gusta nada que una película producida por una OTT pueda llevarse el Oscar.

Sin embargo tampoco tiene grandes rivales, sólo "Belfast" podría quitarle el premio y salvo en Toronto (el premio lo da el público) no ha ganado gran cosa. Supongo que este finde ganará el Bafta para reforzar su candidatura.

En la 20ª edición de los premios del gremio de efectos visuales (VES Awards), Dune y Encanto fueron las películas más premiadas.
