En los Annie yo no le quitaría el ojo a la categoría de Best Animated Independent Feature, de aquí suele salir una (a veces dos) de las nominadas posteriores en el Oscar de película de animación.Cita:

Y en esa categoría hay dos que podrían rascar la posterior nominación en los Oscar:
-Mirari (de Mamoru Hosoda, distribuida por GKids y que compitió en la Quincena de Realizadores de Cannes)
-Ruben Brandt, Collector (distribuida por Sony Pictures Classics, una película húngara de animación que está dando la sorpresa entre la crítica internacional y los festivales donde la están proyectando).
Y pese a que estaba el ronroneo con El Grinch, los Annie ya han dejado claro que El Grinch se ha quedado fuera de la carrera animada.
Me llama la atención (aunque sea con marcas diferentes) que Disney-Fox se van a juntar con 3 películas (Ralph, Increibles, Isla de perros) y que Sony se va a juntar con 2 películas (Spiderman y Ruben Brandt).

Desde que cogió el cheque de Netflix, Paramount ha pasado por completo de la peli de Garland. No ha gastado un solo dólar en promoción ni ha mandado un solo screener de la peli a los académicos (se ha centrado exclusivamente en “A Quiet Place”), asi que no me extraña en absoluto su ausencia.

Hombre, es obvio que tendrá infinidad de nominaciones al Oscar y entre ellas mejor película.
La película es entretenida (al estilo marvel) pero tanto así como catalogarla como lo mejor del año y nominarla a los premios pues como que no, es simplemente una película normal con la estructura de fórmula blockbuster/superheroes/marvel.
En otra época me emocionaría de ver a una película de superheroes nominada al Oscar, que sea black panther (y conste que me gustó) me huele rancio y me da coraje.

Lo estaba viendo en la página del AFI ahora mismo. Hay que tenerle la suficiente consideración a ese top 10 de cine del AFI. Suele coincidir en bastantes películas con las nominadas en mejor película en los Oscar. Sumando Roma, yo creo que, entre ese top-10 estará la cosa. Quizá alguna más, pero una o dos, no veo más.
Se confirma también que “First Man” va a ser una de las películas “olvidadas”de la temporada :|
