Yo este año se la daría a la de los simios. Me sigue pareciendo impresionante que no sean animales de verdad.

Las nominaciones a los SAG awards (Sindicato de Actores) son el proximo Miercoles 13
las anunciaran Olivia Munn y Niecy Nash

Hoy también se conocerán las candidaturas a los Critics´ Choice. A pesar de que en los últimos años la ampliación de categorías y los vaivenes que han dado (lo de la inclusión del episodio VII días después de anunciarse las nominaciones hace dos años fue de chiste) han hecho que hayan perdido bastante prestigio, siguen siendo la mayor asociación de críticos del país... veremos

Moonlight en la lista de 2016 y en la de 2017

Por eso yo estas listas tan tempranas de "Lo mejor del año" no las suelo ver ni tomar como referencia. Las listas se hacen a partir del 1 de Enero, con todo estrenado (aunque habrá gente que podrá realizarlas días antes gracias a los pases de prensa).

En España, estas listas tenemos que hacerlas mínimo a partir de Febrero-Marzo, por los retrasos. Porque ya me veo varias listas con La La Land o Moonlight solo porque estas aquí se estrenaron tarde, cuando son del año pasado...

Yo prefiero la postura intermedia de elegir mis favoritas entre los estrenado desde el 1 de enero al 31 de diciembre. Yo ya tengo más o menos al día mi lista, pero hasta no ver los estrenos que quedan de este año, no la remataré. A mí no me gusta esperar a poder ver en enero febrero o marzo los estrenos de la temporada que aún no nos hayan llegado. Veo más fácil ceñirme al año natural

Espero como agua de mayo esa lista, para tomar prestadas ideas

Como todos los años, el gremio de escritores son muy estrictos en cuanto a los films elegibles para sus premios. Han de cumplir una serie de reglas, como que el guionista o la película esté sindicada con ellos, y alguno más, que imposibilita en la práctica la participación de guiones de animación.



Este año, quedan fuera de los WGA Awards, en el apartado de guión original:

Three billboards outside...
Darkest hour
Breathe
Coco
The lobster
The killing of a sacred deer

Son 59 los títulos elegibles en guión orginal

Y en el apartado de guión adaptado, quedan fuera:

Victoria y Abdul
Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool

Son 47 las pelis que aparecen en la papeleta de los guionistas en este apartado de adaptación guionizada.

Ahora que había un pequeño debate sobre las películas de este año o del año pasado, y qué listas nos gustan más, os pongo un ejemplo curioso.
Esta semana se han entregado los premios de la Academia del Cine y la televisión australiana.
La gran triunfadora ha sido Lion, que se lo ha llevado casi todo en el apartado de cine (5, que aparecen abajo, más 7 técnicos, con un total de 12 premios )

Yo cada vez, veo más factible una nominación a mejor directora a Greta Gerwig. Pasar de ser un nombre reconocido como actriz en la esfera indie a esto en su primera película como directora (aunque hubiera hecho sus pinitos coescribiendo guiones) es todo un meritazo.


Los pequeños proyectos siguen muy pujantes este año en la carrera de los premios. Y que varios de ellos hayan sido éxito en taquilla (como Get out) es de agradecer.

En realidad, eso es lo que yo hago, Tripley, me ciño al año natural (del 1 de Enero al 31 de Diciembre). Pero yo lo hago tomando como referencia los estrenos originales en USA y no el calendario de aqui. Vamos, que lo hago siguiendo las directrices de la academia, que es lo que hacen servir ellos para hacer las nominaciones de los Oscars (igual que con los Globos de Oro y BAFTA).
