Onkyo's new line includes the world's first AV receivers to employ Silicon Optix's Reon-VX HQV 1080p video-processing chip as well as the first with Neural-THX Surround processing. Other new features include HDMI version 1.3a, XM and Sirius Satellite radio capability, HD Digital Radio capability, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio, and Microsoft PlaysForSure compatibility. This line also includes models with improved amplifier technology, bi-wire capability, Ethernet and USB connectivity, Audyssey automatic room calibration, and RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI) capabilities.

Se avecina un verano caliente, y no solo por el canvio de temperatura. Si todo sigue igual, tendremos ya al Sherwood, y el Onkyo, el Panasonic, y upgrades del Denon y la revisión del Sony5200. Sabremos diferenciar entre ellos, con tales niveles de referencia? AVANT (yo espero al Sony de momento, a no ser que algun otro me convnca mas claro).

Si ademas estos Onkyo suenan como los de antaño,van a ser el sueño de muchos!!

Está bien que por fin aparezcan amplis que "entiendan" los nuevos formatos, pero bajo mi punto de vista no es mas que una forma de hacernos cambiar de equipo, puesto que las diferencias respecto a un DTS a todo trapo o al Dolby a 640kbps típico de los formatos de Alta Definición brilla por su ausencia.

Aún así, seguirá saliendo gente que dirá notar las diferencias hasta que un nuevo Molinogordo someta a examen dichas argumentaciones...

En USA ya estan empezando a recibir los primeros 605 y 805.

Se comenta/rumorea que tienen una opcion "no documentada" a la que se accede a traves de un menú oculto y que permite escalar video a 720p.

Cualquier señal introducida en el 605 via HDMi no va a ser modificada. 480i in - 480i out.

Si introduces una señal 480i vía analógica vas a obtener 480p out ó 720p si se selecciona en el menú oculto.

Si introduces una señal 720p vía analógica vas a obtener 720p out.

Si introduces una señal 1080i vía analógica vas a obtener 720p out.


Caso distinto es el del modelo 875 y 905 que SI escalan hasta 1080p

Hay rumores de problemas de stock del chip que usa el HDMi 1.3 por eso Yamaha incorporo solo HDMi 1.2a en sus nuevos productos.

Despues de leerme la review no me queda muy claro el tema de la biamplificacion de los frontales, entiendo que para poder hacerlo tienes que sacrificar los surround...
