Esta es la web de referencia en USA para el análisis, los lanzamientos y las noticias de los nuevos formatos en HD.

Las tres tienen buenos precios pero yo compro en amazon gracias a la buena promoción que tienen que si compras tres pelis en HD de golpe te dan un código que una vez introducido en la casilla correspondiente durante el proceso de pago, otorga un descuento de un 10% durante un año en pelis HD (no en todas, pero sí en bastantes).

Aprovecho el accidental doble post para indicar que las fichas de highdefdigest son totalmente fiables en cuanto a datos de idiomas y subítítulos incluidos.
El 80% de los HD-DVD llevan audio castellano neutro (sudamericano), ninguno lleva audio doblado de España y hasta ahora TODOS llevan subtítulos en castellano.

En cuanto al Blu-Ray, Sony es bastante más rácana y no todos llevan subtítulos en castellano.

Los subtítulos en los extras son raros. Yo tengo 6 hd-dvd's y ninguno tiene subs en los extras.

Sería interesante comentar en este post las ediciones y no nos lancemos en plan batalla campal que si un formato es mejor que otro y tal cual.

La trayectoria en EEUU de los dos formatos en resumen desde abril ha sido la siguiente:
HD-DVD: pelis con calidad excelente y buenos precios y normalmente con los mismos extras que el dvd estandard.
Blu-Ray: primeras oleadas vergonzosas, con calidad dudosa y sin apenas extras. Desde el fin del verano esto ha cambiado, se empiezan a editar con normalidad bd's de doble capa (50Gb) que no tienen nada que envidiar a los hd-dvd's. Lo único malo son los precios de los reproductores que doblan en precio a los hd-dvd's, a la espera de la ansiada (para sony) PS3.

Creo que no está en las listas, pero en un folleto que viene dentro de los HD-DVD de Warner USA, indican una edición de "The Matrix" en HDDVD para el 2006... se sabe algo?

Matrix en HD-DVD no tiene fecha pero se espera con seguridad en el 2007 tirando hacia la segunda mitad.

The Ultimate Matrix Collection, for the hardcore Matrix fan, presents the complete adventures of machine battling truth-seekers Neo (Keanu Reeves), Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) and Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) in all three of the Wachowski brothers’ post-modern epic films. This collection will contain, for the first time, all three HD DVD versions of The Matrix series with more than 35 hours of bonus material in 5 double sided discs. The second offering, The Complete Matrix Trilogy, contains HD DVD versions of the three Matrix films and the three Revisited features in a 3-disc set.

The Films
The Matrix (1999)
The box-office sensation follows the trials of a young computer programmer (Keanu Reeves) searching to determine the deepest reality of a post-Apocalyptic world. His journey uncovers a web of deceit and massive computer-generated illusions obscuring the truth. As the character Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) said to Neo (Reeves), “No one can be told what The Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.” The same is true for this mind-blowing movie.
The film also stars Carrie-Anne Moss and was produced by Joel Silver. The Matrix was written and directed by Andy and Larry Wachowski, who spent years nurturing and refining the movie’s breakthrough concepts.

los que tienen (C) son ediciones combo dvd y HD DVD,hablan tambien de reduccion de precios en el hardware. lo que no entiendo es "el caso Bourne" en Julio o es su segunda parte¿?

Segun este link: spaguetti western MGM acaba de confirmar que el pack western del director Sergio Leone tendra su version en BD. La fecha esta por confirmar pero segun parece sera para finales de este año en USA.

Hay que hacer una observacion, desde hace unos meses el principal estudio que apoya el formato Hd-dvd ni sutitula ni menos traduce sus peliculas al castellano, en cambio en el campo Blu-ray todos, incluso sony, estan subtitulando.

Una duda, para los que pillais HD-DVD de importación... los subtitulos en castellano son castellano o neutro???

Es decir, pone coche o carro?

Es para irme pillando unas pelis de importación jaja.

Repito, el principal estudio que apoya el solo ingles y frances, hd-dvd, Universal, ya no subtitula en castellano sus ediciones en USA, los demas si, en neutro, en todo caso uno se acostumbra y por lo menos se entiende, que eso es lo que importa.

Alguno de vosotros sabe si en las ediciones HD DVD de Uk cuales llevan subtitulos y cuales no, yo me temo lo peor, pero tienen un catalogo casi como el de Usa.
