Gracias a la pista sonora me doy cuenta de que el compositor es Max Richter (algo que si hubiera estado más atento podría haber sacado gracias a la pista de los Oscars).
Y el tema veo que, al no sonarme como el de The leftlovers, y gracias a youtube, es el de la serie Taboo.

Exacto, es la intro de la serie producida por Tom Hardy y la productora de Ridley Scott, cuyo visionado recomiendo, aunque sólo sea por el espectacular diseño de producción y la ambientación del Londres de primeros del XIX, luego ya el desarrollo narrativo puede tener sus defectos, pero visualmente impecable.
De la otra serie que comentas con música de Max Richter, The Leftlovers, no he visto nada, me llamó la atención en su momento, pero lo mío con las series es imposible, me abruma la cantidad de ellas, y todo el mundo te dice que tienes que ver esta o aquella, hasta que al final colapso y no veo ninguna, salvo esta de Taboo, o Stranger Things, que puedo abarcar por tratarse de ocho capítulos en principio autoconclusivos, aunque parece que ambas tendrán una segunda temporada.

Akákievich, a mí con las series me pasa lo mismo, casi no veo niniguna para no terminar saturado. Y claro tengo cosas muy pendientes. Eso sí, creo que The young Pope va a caer en cuanto se edite y seguro que la veo rápido.
Respecto a Max Richter, es un compositor que no tenía hasta hace muy poco más o menos situado. Cada vez me gusta más tanto en lo que hace en cine, como fuera de él.

Deberías, sin duda. No sé por que el Hamlet de Doyle está "menos considerado" por el aficionado que sus otros Shakespeares, cuando es tremendamente bello, muy melódico, y sereno y agradable de escuchar. También profundamente triste -igual va a ser esto-.
Me encantaría que pudieses comentar el film pronto. Hay que encontrar 4 horas disponibles, eso sí. El blu-ray lo tienes, creo recordar.... pero, ¿y el CD de Doyle?

Si he encontrado nueve para ver el Batman de Nolan (que en algún momento tiene algún toque Shakesperiano), seguro que encuentro "sólo" cuatro para esta película de Branagh, que efectivamente primero tuve en DVd y luego recompré en Blu-ray. El Cd de Doyle también lo tengo.
Es verdad que es un tabajo musical que tal vez no destaque tanto frente a otros trabajos suyos de los 90. Puede ser a que es un trabajo algo más ambiental y más sujeto a la historia y que no dispone de temazas apabullantes como los de otros trbajos de Doyle de la época. Incluso creo recordar que el tema principal es una fanfarria que no dura mucho. Pero, seguro que por eso, esa cierta contención puede que cale más de forma más sutil.
Lo dicho a ver si hago un repaso general de este hamley y de paso ve agencio la versión rusa que ta apasionadamente comentaste el otro día.
