[iTunes] El padrino (The Godfather, 1972, Francis Ford Coppola) y secuelas
He leído en home theater forum que en algunas regiones los padrinos están empezando a aparecer en Itunes con el nuevo master (todavía solamente en HD, sin 4K ni HDR). ¿Alguien sabe algo de esto?. Dudo que sea cierto (aún).

Puede ser perfectamente cierto que las películas del Padrino tengan el nuevo master ya implementado en itunes a falta de que le den al boton para que carguen en 4K Dolby Vision. Ya ha ocurrido en bastantes ocasiones con otros títulos.
Aparte que las portadas han cambiado para actualizar al modelo de la tercera parte.

No hay manera, no. Lo único seguro es que tendrán su update 4K el dia 22 de Marzo a la 01:00 en itunes España pero casi seguro que a estas alturas perfectamente pueden haber recibido el nuevo master aquí también.

Y ya que estoy por aquí, aprovecho y pregunto: las películas del Padrino, ¿cuándo salen en 4K?
He mirado en la tienda, y veo que el pack está razonablemente barato. Como han comentado por aquí, tienen extras, e incluso las carátulas renovadas.

La última de Spiderman está a la venta a 14 € con 4K y DV
Y efectivamente han actualizado la primera del Padrino a 4K. Las otras no... por ahora. Estoy por comprar el pack. No me creo que lo vayan a dejar a ese precio cuando actualicen las que quedan.

Acabo de comprobar la peli por encima (No way home) y como ya han dicho: Dolby Vision, Atmos en VO, 5.1 en Castellano y también tiene Audio descripción en inglés, con un porrón de subtítulos y 0 extras.
La imagen se ve muy bien.

Pero igual si compras el pack las otras dos no traen el master nuevo en HD y luego no se te actualizan a 4K. Que puede que si, pero... ¿y si no?.

Se van a actualizar si o si. Son de Paramount, y ellos nunca fallan. Prueba de ellos tienes El Padrino II con la nueva portada y en cambio la versión anterior del Padrino 3 que fue descatalogada sigue con portada antigua para aquellos que la compraron en su momento.
Paramount actualiza hasta los títulos que solo llevan audio castellano y con la actualización 4K les suelen meter en audio en VO quedando una edición venta exclusiva para España en itunes.

Pues aún estoy indeciso. El pack a 20 euros de la trilogía del Padrino está genial por ese precio, y la primera está en 4K DV ya. Pero no sé si la secuela viene ya con el nuevo master aunque sea en HD de momento (CODA si, claro). Si como me decis se van a actualizar si o si a 4K, lo compro ya.

Son de esos packs que tarde o temprano acaban rebajando…. yo creo recordar que lo compré por 15e. Si no es compra obligada igual te puedes esperar hasta que baje un poco y/o se actualicen las otras 2 pelis.
En mi caso en un Apple TV 4K me da error la 1a peli si la abro con imovies, si la abro con Apple TV se me reproduce en hd solo. Antes de actualizar a 4K no tuve nunca problemas.

A tomar por saco, comprada la trilogía en Itunes por 20 eurillos.
La parte II aún está en HD pero parece ser el nuevo master, comparando el asunto con las capturas de doblu.com

Yo la compré hace años más cara y en HD. Y sola se ha actualizado todo lo que se ha venido comentando. Por lo tanto es cuestión de tiempo que pase. La III no digo que se quede relegada, pero la II es una obviedad que el 50 aniversario viene en tres años.
Yo lo que lamento es que no esté en la pista original en castellano y solo esté el redoblaje. No tengo problemas con verla VOSE, pero es difícil tener una pista castellana horriblemente puesta cuando el oído en castellano te dice que no es de verdad.
Yo espero en un futuro esta actualización.
Hay otras películas que resultan discontinuadas y para hacernos pasar por caja lanzan otro producto para que no haya una actualización. No me desaparece de mi biblioteca pero jode verlo así.
Así que si lo han venido actualizando todo este tiempo no hay razón para pensar que cualquier mejora la vas a tener siempre disponible. Algo que un disco jamás te hará. El precio actual me parece muy buen precio.

Curioso. Si reproduzco el audiocomentario de Coppola en los Padrinos se reproduce el master de 2008, no el actual.

En digital ninguna tiene el doblaje original, excepto la tercera, claro. En físico, la primera tendrá el doblaje original, pero no la segunda.

Como curiosidad, los extras del Padrino I, no me cargan todavía (se queda la ruedecita dando vueltas indefinidamente), y los extras de la parte II son los de 2008, aunque la peli sigue en HD y todavía no se ha actualizado a 4K (aunque ya tiene el nuevo master).
