Now that the poster for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has been revealed, some details from the super-secret plot also can be officially exposed. Indiana Jones co-producer Frank Marshall is authorized to confirm some rumors and detail some of the story, about a quest for South American relics with supernatural powers.
When last we saw Indy, he was riding off into the sunset in 1989's The Last Crusade, set in 1938 near the start of World War II. The new movie, due this spring, is set at the height of the Cold War in 1957, so the character has aged in real time — 19 years.

"He's teaching and having kind of a quiet life," the producer says. Once the archaeologist is thrust back into danger, the signature Indiana Jones red line tracing across the map will take him to New Mexico, Connecticut, Mexico City and the jungles of Peru.

Despite all the gray-hair jokes (Harrison Ford is 65), Indy is still swinging from dangerous precipices and absorbing punches.

"Indy's a fallible character. He makes mistakes and gets hurt. He has a few more aches and pains now," Marshall says. "That's the other thing people like: He's a real character, not a character with superpowers."
The Nazis are no longer Indy's chief foe — he's racing for the Crystal Skull against operatives from

The Last Crusade concluded without a cliffhanger, but Crystal Skull will revisit bits from other films, including Karen Allen's feisty Marion Ravenwood from 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The artifact of the title is inspired by real quartz sculptures of disputed origins that are carved in a way that defies the natural structure of the crystal.

A mi me gusta moderadamente. Me consuela saber que va a haber más pósters (en la pagina web hay tres espacios vacios...). El Indy del dibujo está genial, todo hay que decirlo, y se nota un tono osuro y misterioso que me pone bastante. Además se le da a la calavera un protagonismo tremendo, con un diseño diabólico intrigante...

Queremos más!!

Después de consultar con un par de colegas diseñadores, los dos me han dicho exactamente lo mismo: vaya puta mierda de póster, tanto técnicamente como de temática, sin aportar nada.

Tranquilo, en otra entrevista dijeron la pasada semana que el personaje de Winstone venía a ser una especie de cruce entre

Belloq y Sallah; de lo que se deduce que -seguramente- se trate de un arqueólogo rival algo cabroncete pero con buen fondo, ...y que en el momento de la verdad acabará ayudando a Indy.

Y sí, yo también pienso que Mo está un poco bocazas últimamente.

En cuanto al póster... no le déis mucha importancia. ¿Os acordáis de los distintos carteles que salían con las pelis de los X-Men (uno para cada personaje) o lo mismo en "Piratas del Caribe" o "Harry Potter"?, pues yo creo que aquí puede ser igual: después de éste a lo mejor sale otro con Marion y otro con Shia y otro con..., simplemente en plan "estos son los protas, pero no os enseñaremos nada más de momento".

Está claro que el cartel final irá más en la línea de las otras pelis (porque el hecho de que éste nos recuerde tanto al del "Templo Maldito" no es sino otro guiño para fans).

Y ya para acabar... ¿nadie más ve la cara de un extraterrestre justo entre los ojos de la calavera??? ¿Está ahí, ...o es que estoy con la neura "Cloverfield" y veo cosas raras?

Yo lo que veo es otra calavera, no?

Esa calavera tiene un diseño muy terrorífico. No parece humana: las cuencas oculares son enormes y muy pegadas a la boca, y en vez de dos huecos para la nariz, tiene uno. Además tiene los incisivos muy pronunciados.

A ver quien encuentra más calaveras en el poster...Hay más de una

Yo veo una calavera blanca tipo marciano con una túnica y unas mangas extendidas (incluso diría que los dientes podrían formar parte de las piernas o medio cuerpo).

Al final va a pasar lo de siempre. El poster pasa de no molar nada a acabar colgado en la pared de más de uno.
