"A lot happens, but almost none of it is driven by the characters – things happen to them, not by them. The production is spectacular, the attention to detail is meticulous, but the cast is mostly pretty bland.

More than anything, the show feels like an adaptation of one of those "Art of Lord of the Rings" coffee table books, rather than a story. Still, I think I'll stick with it for the spectacle."
