Every 19 years, during "Kagen no Tsuki", or Last Quarter of the Moon, a miracle is set to happen and a romance is set to brew. Muzuki (Kuriyama) breaks up with her boyfriend Tomoki on her 19th birthday. Muzuki, feeling lonely and having nowhere to go, suddenly hears a familiar guitar melody. She followed the sound to an old house, where she meets Adam. They fall in love and vowed to meet a week later. However, on a night of the last quarter of the moon, Muzuki was run over by a car. She awakes to find herself in the old house, but she cannot leave it. She is still alive, lying in a coma, but existing as a ghost in the house...
Director Nikai Ken is known for his work directing MVs, having previously worked with HYDE, pierrot and The Gospellers; and his previous film Soundtrack won Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography at The 12th Spain International Fantastic Film Festival. HYDE not only recorded the theme song for the film, "THE CAPE OF STORMS", he also takes on the role as mysterious musician Adam in the film. Kuriyama, famed internationally for taking on more psychotic roles, plays an ordinary girl for the first time in her career.

Cha no Aji (The Taste of Tea) is written, edited and directed by famed director Ishii Katsuhito, who recruited veteran actors Asano Tadanobu and Miura Tomokazu to take on the lead roles. This film is selected for screening at 2004's Cannes Film Festival.
This is Ishii's first screenplay, and its style is of a strong contrast to his previous work. In this film he explores the dysfunctional qualities of an average family in this comedy. A family of five, consisting of father, mother, teenage son, young daughter and grandfather, live together in a small village north of Tokyo. When the children's uncle from the city (Asano Tandanobu) moves in, all hell breaks loose. Grandfather Oji (Tatsuya Gashuin) is an odd-tempered eccentric, mother Yoshiko (Satomi Tezuka) wanted to return to her previous job as a table cartoon illustrator, father Noubo is a hypno-therapist who works at home. Una prreciosidad la edición de Ninja Scroll... y por lo que pone en el Previews de este mes... que me he estado repasando... Habrá que ver cómo es el bicho... <img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/smart.gif ALT=":alloro"> y a cuánto la tienen en DVDSoon y Cia... en la primera de momento no aparece.

No es que no me guste es que la veo excesivamente sobrevalorada, me parece un thriller entretenido sin más.

Eso no tendría mucho sentido, ¿no crees Canus?. En Layoyo está la de 6 DVD a 60 dólares y la de 8 DVD a 115. Y si los dvd's que faltan son de extras sin subtitular...pues supongo que habrá quien preferirá el ahorro.

Yo, excepcionalmente, me quedo con las ediciones hongkies sencillas en sus funditas de cartón y si los coreanos o gente de cualquier otra nacionalidad sacan alguna edición maja y más económica aprovechando, tal vez, el remake de Scorsese...pues ya veré.<img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=":D">
