here are five different cuts, as detailed in that previous Bullets link:
1. Hong Kong Theatrical Cut (Original Cut) - As featured on the Original HK DVD and theatrically throughout the Far East (I presume)
2. Thai Cut - The same cut but the Thai fighter scene added back in, as found on the Thai DVD (+ a deleted scene extra on the USA DVD)
3. Western Cut - Rejigged scenes + because of this working out 5 minutes shorter, as shown in the UK/Australia theatrically + UK, Australia and USA DVD
4. USA Theatrical Cut - The same as the Western Cut but minus minor violence, only on the same USA DVD + shown theatrically in the USA
5. Director's Cut - So far only on the New HK DVD. No doubt the Thai Fighter scene has been restored and I also hear from CD WOW all Michelle Yeoh footage is restored too
Before the DC came out the Thai cut was the most uncut. There is some worth to the R1 for the deleted scene (likely to be restored for the DC) plus rejigged and changed scenes.
