Supongo que ya sabeis que se acerca la salida del nuevo monitor de Dell, substituto del mítico 2405FP.



Entre otras mejoras, pesa la mitad, tiene entradas como componentes, compuesta o USB, componentes de calidad de aluminio, pantalla fabricada por Samsung y preparada con el protocolo necesario para Vista y mejores datos técnicos como 1000:1 o mejor refresco de pantalla 6ms. Ah! y lo mejor su precio de salida es menor que el que marcó su antecesora.
En dell Japón marca 100000 yenes = 700€ Se remorean cifras superiores a 1000€ para Europa y hasta 1400 para USA, pero de momento en Japón sale por unos 700€, buena señal.

Esta SI es una buena compra y si encima sale "barata"...

Es idéntica a su hermana mayor, la de 30". Excepto en el tamaño y las conexiones...

Si se ve igual de bien que se ve la mia, es un bombazo.

¿Mejor este DELL q el Apple Cinema Display?

La anterior de 24" era igual o superiror a la de 23" de Appel, sin contar que es más barata, trae entradas analógicas y tarjetero integrado. Ahora este nuevo modelo es superior técnicamente a la de Apple y encima 1" más grande. Falta ver reviews pero parece que es mejor, aunque las pantallas apple ya tienen su tiempo y esta de Dell es muy nueva.

Ahora, nada de la mitad de peso. Unos 2 kg menos que la 2405, la verdad que las caracteristicas tecnicas no representan ninguna revolucion respecto a lo anterior.

Veremos a que precio sale. Yo voy a apostar por < 1000€, rompiendo la pana.

Si eso sirve para que la de 24" salga más económica pues bienvenida sea...

¿Alguien sabe si en la de 24" se pueden leer bien dos páginas DIN A4 a la vez sin zoom? Con esa resolución y esas pulgadas me imagino que si, pero una confirmación no estaría de más.

No se si sirve de algo o si se puede interpretar como un sí, pero he hecho un DINA3 = dos A4 de 21cmx29,7cm a 72 dpi y suma 1192x843 píxeles.
Y la pantalla da hasta 1920 x 1200. En teoría sí deja ver 2 A4 a la vez?

Si la pantalla hace (no se si con o sin el marco):

Vertical 324.0 mm

Un A3 hace: 42cm x 29,7 cm , a tamaño real cabe.

En Japón se puede comprar esta pantalla Dell de 24" a 690$

"The Dell 2707WFP is a go

Our sources at Samsung LCD whispered to us a few weeks ago that Dell will feature a 27" LCD this fall with a 1920x1200 resolution.

We got confirmation of this rumor earlier today from former Tom's Hardware editor Vincent Alzieu that Dell has also confirmed the upcoming display to him. In a recent conversation, Alzieu claimed "the 2707WFP will be here in October." Of course, he was talking about France in particular, and a US launch may be even closer. You can find the rest of his thoughts about the upcoming display on his website, BeHardware.com.

Samsung LCD is currently the only display manufacturer with plans for a 27" WUXGA LCD panel, the LTM270M1. The S-PVA panel is a true 8-bit design with a claimed response time of 8ms gray to gray. For all intents and purposes, the display is identical to the Dell 2407WFP now available via the Dell USA website -- Samsung makes the 24" WUXGA panel found in that display as well. However, the 27" panel has a less dense 0.303mm pixel pitch which is not the most attractive pixel width we've seen."


4 new Dell monitors

Dell pursues the renewal of their product ranges. After the 17, 19 and 30" (3007WFP, read the review), it is now the turn of the 20 and 24" to change to 07 series. A little bit later there will be a monitor with a new diagonal.

To begin with, there won't be only one 20" monitor but two.

Dell 2007FT: 20 inches, 4/3, IPS or PVA says Dell in the technical specifications. Will they change from one technology to another according to the stocks? They probably will.

The response time will be of 16ms max, viewing angles of 178°, 300 cd/m² brightness, 800:1 contrast ratio, 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution. It will be out end of April.

Dell 2007WFP: 20 inches wide in 1680 x 1050 pixels. Except for this point, characteristics will be identical to the 2007FP, up until the possibility to change of technology of panels. It will be out the 3rd of May.

Dell 2407WFP: 24 inches, PVA 6 ms G2G panel, or 16 ms ISO. Contrast ratio: 1000:1, 500 cd/m² brightness. Its characteristics are identical to the Acer AL2416W monitor previously tested. The only difference is that the Acer only had one analog input. The 2407WFP will also include one DVI that will be HDCP certified! The resolution will be of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It will also be out next May 3.

In October, there will be a… 27 inches. The panel inside should be the LTM270M1, made by Samsung. Technology: PVA. Response time: 8 ms (G2G). Contrast ratio: 1000:1. Number of pixels: 1,920 x 1,200

Lo del 27" es fijo que lo sacan.

Lo del 24" leyendo que es igual al Acer AL2416W pues resulta que este Acer se puede conseguir a 710€+IVA, eso hace que cuaqluier cosa superior a 1000€ colocaria a Dell en una posicion muy desventajosa.

Para mi situacion 24" es lo maximo-maximo, mi primera opcion era uno de 21" (Samsung 214T) pero no deja de tentarme este de 24".

Esperar y ver.

La de 24" me va de perlas para mi curro (publicidad) y conectar el home cinema para ver HD y la tele. Que tenga entradas analógicas y digitales es un puntazo! y preparada para vista y formatos como bluray o HDDVD...

Apple's 30'' Cinema Display gets quiet upgrade

Apple's 30'' LCD is a beautiful thing. The screen's minimalistic design and sleek lines could only be worthy of being designed in Cupertino, California. But, as we have learned in the company's history, and especially these past couple years, is that Apple has never been satisfied sitting on their laurels.

Even after winning a shootout between the Apple Cinema Display and the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP from Cnet, it has come to our attention that Apple has quietly boosted the specifications of the newly-crowned champ even further. The Cinema Display's brightness, which was originally 270 cd/m2, has now been upgraded to 400 cd/2. The screen's contrast ratio has also been bumped up from 400:1 to 700:1.

Interestingly enough, these new technical specs match Dell's 3007WFP offering. Now an upgrade such as this would have been planned months ago, but to have it match the details of the only monitor worth comparing it to makes it look like Apple definitely wants to keep the crown in California.

NUMEROUS readers tell us they have been waiting for a new Dell 24-inch widescreen LCD to tip up.

The replacement for the current 2405, the cleverly named 2407 has been delayed for quite a while and it appears there may have been some quality problems.

The 2407 was formally released in Japan first about a month and a half ago. Released, as in Dell put it on the web for you to order, but not released in terms of it shipping the LCD those folk ordered, it seems.

That didn’t happen until a few days ago when Dell finally shipped the 2407 to customers in Japan, whereafter reviews and complaints began to spring up on the Interweb.

An image here purports to show the banding causing concern.

Dell said there were no manufacturing problems with the monitors, due for launch in Britain in May, and it is investigating the claims.

Pos eso, ya la podemos comprar por menos de 1000€ sin iva.Creo que el problema del banding está solucionado en este modelo. En el de 30" la colorimetría se ha corregido y se llama A2 (el mismo modelo pero sin problemas). Cre oque el que da problemas el el modelo de 20".
