What makes Megalopolis so strange and, for a big-budget Hollywood film, so singular, is that, just like Vergil’s Aeneid, it is at once accretive, allusive, and idiosyncratic because Coppola is attempting something very few artists have ever done: to speak from inside the imperial organism, even as it begins to crack, and to craft a vision that is both a monument to its grandeur and a requiem for its decline.

Tras 'Wonder Woman', la directora Patty Jenkins y la actriz Gal Gadot, volveran a trabajar juntas para contar la historia de una de las mujeres más poderosas y célebres de la historia, Cleopatra.
Paramount Pictures será quien la financie, y la guionista Laeta Kalogridis ('Altered Carbon', 'Alita: Ángel de combate'), será quien escribirá esta aventura "épica" junto a Jenkins y Gadot.

El proyecto se mueve, pero sin Patty Jenkins, que ya no sera la directora de la pelicula
la nueva directora es Kari Skogland, que viene de dirigir la serie de Falcon y el Soldado de invierno
Jenkins, seguira ligada al proyecto en labores de productora

parece que Cleopatra será ahora el nuevo proyecto de Denis Villeneuve.
Se indica que Zendaya encarnará a Cleopatra y que se han ofrecido a Timothée Chalamet el papeles de Octavio (Augusto) y a Daniel Craig el de Julio Cesar.

No tenía interés alguno en el proyecto, pero leyéndoos que ahora es cosa de Villeneuve, tiene toda mi atención.
