Tema: Capitán América: Civil War (Anthony y Joe Russo, 2016)

Ayer descubrí gracias a un forero de aquí un canal de Youtube que es una delicia donde se dan clases magistrales de CINE. Se tocan temas de aspecto puramente cinematográfico y se deja de lado todo lo que se refiere a historia/tramas.
El video que enlazo es muy interesante. No sabía donde postearlo, pero he decidido dejarlo aquí porque en este hilo se ha debatido sobre las diferencias entre las propuestas de Marvel muy seguras y las de DC más arriesgadas.

En mi opinión DC arriesga y Marvel es muy conservadora, lo que le hace perder puntos en los aspectos más cinematográficos. Este video se centra en las bandas sonoras de las películas de Marvel y su uso poco/nada arriesgado dentro de las películas. Se da más peso a que se entienda la historia/trama antes que apostar por el valor emocional que puede aportar aumentar el peso de la banda sonora en un momento determinado, algo que es más arriesgado pues si se hace mal se corre el riesgo de que el espectador no lo entienda.

Para mi, esto también se extiende a la dirección donde Marvel siempre opta por una narrativa muy convencional, pero nos quedamos con el video que habla sólo de la música. Riesgo Vs Seguridad: yo siempre preferiré y aplaudiré lo primero. Lo seguro puede llegar a aburrir y se acaba olvidando fácilmente.

El video es algo largo, pero recomiendo verlo entero. Es toda una lección de cine.

Acabada de ver... bueno... llevo un año algo desconectado de los blockbusters, y tengo pendientes las últimas de Xmen, Marvel etc....

Comentar que al perder un poco el hilo y fuelle... pues podría decir que he notado algo eso que se comenta en el video ofrecido por Harlock, algo de "seguridad" en la grabación... cosa que también noté ya en la última de Ironman y Thor etc... me entretienen, me gustan... pero parece que les termina faltando algo...

Esta en general, me ha gustado, aunque el toque de la primera entrega me gustaba más... aquí ya lo ha perdido y es "una más de Marvel"

Todos están bien, aunque alguno metido con calzador y otros desaprovechados... Vision da pena, cuando podría ser la caña (personalmente esperaba más de este personaje). Pantera no está mal, pero se da por supuesto todo de el personaje, poco se dice de su traje y ya...

Spider... pues personalmente no me ha gustado mucho su inclusión... pero es que su traje (creo que el peor que recuerde, bueno, el que tiene en esta película como realizado por el, da vergüenza), esos ojos "movibles".... Eso si... como compañero de Stark, estupendo, entre los dos pueden hacer que a alguien le explote la cabeza. (por su verborrea claro... )

Ant man, cosa distinta a Spider, si que me gustó más su incursión, y su colaboración también.

Y bueno, varias cosas más que tampoco voy a liar aquí, pero que aunque de sensación que son puntos negativos, reconozco que la película en si me gustó... pero se cofirma lo que personalmente no me gustó en la segunda... que ese efecto vintage, de serie B, simplón pero resultón de la primera... se pierde en superproducción que ofrece mucho pero yo no le veo tanto... Repito... no lo parece... pero me ha gustado

Artículo sobre el uso de CGI para el 100% del traje de Black Panther realizado por la ILM. De hecho Spider-Man también era CGI y eventualmente todo el grupo durante la secuencia de la pelea en el aeropuerto ya que la escena fue filmada mediante un set completamente digital.

Para dicha pelea y para recrear esos trajes vía CGI se utilizó en parte mo-cap para referencia.

Black Panther’s Suit in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Was Created Entirely With Visual Effects

The creation of the entirely computer generated superhero suit for Green Lantern in the 2011 film was so bad that star Ryan Reynolds mocked it when he played Deadpool earlier this year. However, it turns out that it’s possible to have an entire superhero suit created with visual effects, and you probably didn’t even know that it happened this past summer.

In Captain America: Civil War, we met T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), a prince of Wakanda tragically turned king of the nation when an explosion kills his father. But in addition to being the new leader of his people, T’Challa is also the warrior known as Black Panther. And it turns out that the suit he wears just couldn’t be perfected practically, so they opted to have it created entirely with visual effects by Industrial Light & Magic. You might find this hard to believe, especially since we’ve seen images of both Chadwick Boseman and some stuntmen suited up as Black Panther on the set of Captain America: Civil War (including the one at the top). So we know there was a real suit that was used during production. So why was it entirely created with visual effects in post-production?

On the commentary of the home video release for Civil War (via ScreenCrush), Anthony & Joe Russo talk about the introduction of Black Panther along with writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and the latter Russo brother explained how much work ILM did to bring the hero’s sleek suit to life and why they had to go that route:

ust to avoid any confusion, McFeely and Markus followed up to clarify that every single frame that we see Black Panther had the suit created with visual effects. The Russo brothers confirmed that the suit is entirely computer generated in every single frame that he appears.

Well, that’s pretty damn impressive. Go ahead and look at any shot of T’Challa in his Black Panther suit and see if you can tell that it was created with visual effects. There are plenty of moments throughout the entire movie that you can tell were created with visual effects, especially with characters like Iron Man and Spider-Man when they’re entirely suited up. But there are so many shots of Black Panther that look astounding, and you’d never know there were any visual effects employed to create his suit.

I’m curious as to just what they would have to make the suit out of to make it look like that on-camera instead of creating it in real life. But I totally believe their assessment that they couldn’t make a comparable suit without killing the person wearing it. Having been on the set of Civil War during part of the airport brawl, I can tell you that whoever is in that suit is so uncomfortably hot that they have a small group of people responsible for bringing small electric fans and water over to Chadwick Boseman and the stuntmen inside the suit to make sure they don’t overheat. So who knows what it would be like if the suit was even more restricting.

The big question is whether Industrial Light & Magic will have to do the same kind of work when Black Panther gets his own movie. There’s a chance that he might have a different suit by the time his own franchise rolls back around, so they might not have the same issue, but we may not find out until after we see the movie.

Si digo que pense que el traje de Pantera Negra era real y no CGI, un cumplido enorme a ILM.

Con Spider-Man, si no llego a ver esas fotos del rodaje, hubiera dicho que ni siquiera habia un actor en el set.

Debe de ser porque el color negro cuela mejor. En los contados momentos en que Batman es completamente CGI en la trilogía de Nolan, no te das ni cuenta.
