El 23 de Octubre se editan (USA) 4 películas de Stanley Kubrick:

- 2001: Una Odisea en el Espacio
- La Naranja Mecánica
- El Resplandor
- Eyes Wide Shut
- La Chaqueta Metálica

Serán ediciones remasterizadas en 1080p y Dolby TrueHD 5.1 en ambos formatos. Se confirma que incluirán los extras de las ediciones en DVD.

Se han publicado algunos datos sobre las ediciones en HD-DVD (supongo que serán las mismas características para la versión en BD):

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)

A Clockwork Orange (1971)
Stomping, whopping, stealing, singing, tap-dancing, violating. Derby-topped hooligan Alex (Malcolm McDowell) has a good time – at the tragic expense of others. Full Metal Jacket (1987)

The Shining (1980)

In a signature role, Jack Nicholson (“Heeeere’s Johnny!”) stars as Jack Torrance, who’s come to the elegant, isolated Overlook Hotel as off-season caretaker with his wife (Shelley Duvall) and son (Danny Lloyd).

Y me parece que van a venir también cargaditas de extras porque coincide con el lanzamiento de las ediciones especiales de 2 discos en DVD, así que el contenido será presumiblemente idéntico.

Hay la ke me llamala atencion es el Reslandor y La Odisea en el Espacio supongo ke no llegaran a europa hasta el 2008

estoy interesado en adquirir esta peli en amazon usa. Pero segun amazon es zona 1, con lenguaje solo en ingles ... es posible que haya varias versiones?.

buenas, solo hay una edición y puedes comprarla con toda la tranquilidad del mundo porque es multizona. Es un error de la web porque zona 1 solo es para dvd, en bluray sería zona A. Pero puedes estar tranquilo porque esta peli es multizona y con castellano del nuestro.

Hola, me gustaría saber si las ediciones Hd dvd USA de Kubrick tienen el mismo metraje y extras que las editadas en Europa. Estoy dudando si comprar las Alemanas o las de USA.

Salvo The Shining, si. De hecho, los discos USA contienen incluso el doblaje español de aqui, salvo The Shining, insisto.

En USA, tiene un montaje más largo (unos 20 minutos, creo recordar), pero dado que tanto el montaje europeo como el americano los firmó Kubrick, ambos son propiamente un Director's Cut.

Yo la tengo en BD y la calidad de imagen a mí me ha encantado, claro que tengo la segunda edición que editaron, porque la primera debía de ser bastante pobre. En HDDVD pues imagino que de imagen andará igual que el BD, es decir, buena y por momentos muy buena.

Vaya, gracias. Es que leí que era casi peor que el DVD . Aunque eso sí, la 1ª edición como indicas. Espero que la Deluxe Edition esté mejor pues. Es que por 5,49€ quien se resiste!

Acabo de regresar de EEUU y he comprado 2001 en BD. El reproductor de BD SHARP BD20 me dice disco incompatible.
Esta edición no era compatible para todas las zonas?.

Tambien he comprado La Chaqueta Metalica y El Fantasma de la Opera y funcionan perfectamente.

Pues 2001 es igual que las otras, yo tengo esa edición y me funciona bien con una ps3 zona b.

¿Alguien ha conseguido ver ya en tienda fisica el pack Blu Ray de Kubrick que deberia haber salido el martes?

Creo que nada de lo que tenía que sacar Warner esta semana ha llegado a las tiendas porque también estaban previstos un montón de packs duo, Matrix, etc.. y nada de nada. De todas maneras, si las compras fuera, aunque sea sueltas, te saldrán mucho más baratas, todas con castellano excepto "El Resplandor" porque viene en su versión extendida (hablo de la versión USA) pero sí tiene subtítulos.

He conseguido la version de aqui con las 5 peliculas en Bd por 75€, no esta nada mal.

En el pack alemán de Kubrick supuestamente están todas en español. De momento sólo he probado "2001" (confirmado el audio y subtítulos en español), pero creo que Warner ha hecho una edición global.

Yo no lo tengo para opinar, pero es el mismo disco porque USA lleva Castellano.

He colgado dos custom covers para EL RESPLANDOR. Razón aquí.

¿Merece la pena hacerse con la edición BD de 2001? ¿Mejora considerablemente la imagen del DVD?

Segunda pregunta: rotundamente SI. Fue de referencia en su momento, abrió los ojos a la HD a muchos. Vista hoy, es un gran disco, pero algo superado por otros lanzamientos de clásicos.

Primera pregunta: hay anunciada para noviemb/diciembre una nueva edición Ultimate Collector's en USA. Presumiblemente será el mismo disco que hay ahora a la venta, pero con esa perspectiva, yo esperaría a que se confirmara si hay nuevo master o no.
