He comprobado los siguientes blu-rays de Criterion: Days of Heaven (first printing 2010), Hunger (first printing 2009), Stagecoach (first printing 2010) y Walkabout (first printing 2010). Todos se reproducen sin problemas; y vivo en una zona con mucha humedad.

La de Preston Sturges es una joya. Aquí acabara siendo editada en BD-R. Seguro. Menos mal que hay buenos DVDs en USA y España.

Esta semana, rebaja de hasta el 55% en títulos de terror de Criterion: click! Demasiada tentación como para no caer en algunos de los últimos, como el espectacular digipack de Scanners...

CRITERION DESIGNS, 30 años de diseño carátulas y cuadernillos en un lujoso libro de tapa rígida. A la venta el próximo 25 de noviembre, la broma sale por 100$ del ala, aunque ahora mismo está disponible en preorder con un descuento del 20% usando el código 30YRS.

Pues pinta maravilloso, la verdad.

En eso estoy yo desde el día 11, en eso estoy...

De momento han caído ALL THAT JAZZ y F FOR FAKE, ambas con el 50% + sendos vales de descuento del 20%, a poco más de $15 por cabeza.

Pero tengo otro par de vales del 15% y del 20% que expiran este fin de semana, así que creo que voy a tachar las siguientes de la lista, el MACBETH de Polanski y LA DOLCE VITA.

Y a ver si para el Black Friday se estiran con algún vale del 30% o el 40% como han hecho otros años y nos vamos a por la cajita de ZATOICHI...

Sobre los fallos en los discos de Criterion.
Yo tengo Walkabout y recuerdo que cuando la compre el disco daba muchos fallos, sobre todo en reproductores Sony como el mió de entonces.
De hecho cambiaron los discos por otros que seguían dando fallos pero menos, a mí me lo mandaron a España sin problemas y sin pedirme mi copia.
Recuerdo que les escribí un correo criticándoles que cuidaran tanto las ediciones ....pero no los discos y diciéndoles que era la primera vez que veía "aguas" (oscilaciones de color en la capa metálica) en un disco Blu-ray. Como no me fiaba del disco compre la edición UK cuando salió.
He comprobado las dos copias que tengo y ambas funcionan correctamente en mi actual Oppo 105 y no presentan signos de problemas visibles.
Yo creo que por ahorrar usaron una planta de prensado mala/barata y/o un control de calidad malo. Este tipo de defectos no es nuevo en discos CD y DVD originales pero se suele dar en muy pocos casos de discos mal manufacturados. Es la primera vez que pasa en Blu-ray y yo creo que es a causa de una realmente mala fabricación.
Yo meto las cajas de los Blu-ray en fundas de plástico y dentro de la caja meto un saquito de gel de sílice para prevenir la humedad.....
