no sé si te has dando cuenta en las comparativas que has puesto:
la captura de la 3d pierde completamente el detalle, fijate en la pelusilla del rostro y en el cotorno del pelo, eliminado completamente

superponed las dos imagenes juntas y pasad de una a otra vereis la diferencia.

Consultando el foro de blu-ray.com se comenta cuestiones muy interesantes del paso de 2D a 3D de esta pelicula, de cambios sufridos para que su conversión quede mejor (y dicho sea de paso, por capricho del Señor Cameron).

Cambios que se citan:

Cameron did change some things.

The flying scene does have a new sky. It pops up when Rose walks towards Jack after she says "I changed my mind".

The first funnel does have a black top instead of the buff color.

Stars were added to the sky during the 2nd half of the movie.

Baja and a jet ski have been removed from a few sinking shots.

Mountains that were visible during Jack and Rose's walk on the boat deck were removed.

The string that pulls the glass off the mantle has been removed.

Rose is looking at a brand new sky instead of the mirrored sky. The new sky includes the Milky Way.

The capstan that crinkles when the stern goes to 90 degrees no longer crinkles.

The shot of Jack and Rose wading through the D Deck landing has been zoomed in.

A set light has been removed from the dining room after Jack and Rose run into it after running from Cal.

Also, the audio has been tweaked. I noticed that Cal's gunshots have a longer echo and Rose's laugh at the end of the 3rd class party was deleted and all you hear is the music playing until it fades into Cal and Rose's breakfast scene.
