Si este no de los scores mas ingeniosos de McCreary y de los mas infravalorados, poco le queda
McCreary no está más valorado porque el grueso de su carrera lo ha dedicado a la tele y los videojuegos, lo que es UNA VERGÜENZA (como si los compositores de esos medios fuesen de segunda categoría o algo así).
De los mejores compositores de los últimos años. En concreto lleva desde 2015-2016 absolutamente on fire.

Comentario de 'Don't Worry Darling' de John Powell
Esta es una de las creaciones más inclasificables y bizarras de John Powell, que entra de lleno en el caos de una película muy irregular que pretende abarcar el drama familiar, el conflicto psicológico y la ciencia ficción, todo ello ambientado en el entorno impostado de los años cincuenta. El compositor asume un postulado musical radical, vehemente, abstracto e impredecible, que busca y logra el propósito de generar caos, confusión y por supuesto violentar y alterar a la audiencia del filme, e identificarla con la progresiva perturbación de la protagonista. Para ello, renuncia deliberadamente a la estructura temaria clásica, que es el orden, para potenciar lo deconstruido y también lo destruido, que es el desorden que se enfatiza desde la banda sonora, incluidos los efectos sonoros. Las músicas distorsionadas, sucias y muy manipuladas acaban por representar la bajada a los infiernos de la mujer.
Hecha principalmente con instrumentos de cuerda, voces, percusiones y electrónica, siendo las voces etéreas, a ratos arcaicas y también fantasmagóricas muy significativas en aquello que representan, y está entre lo más interesante de lo aportado por Powell. También son muy destacables las contradicciones que impone la música frente al romanticismo de algunas escenas o la tranquilidad de otras, destruyéndolas todas. Notable es asimismo la larga escena de acción en la que la protagonista atraviesa la ciudad intentando escapar, en un crescendo con voces progresivamente más demencial y virulento. Finalmente, la dulce pero tenebrosa canción que tatarea la protagonista -With You All the Time- y que paulatinamente va recordando mejor, sirve para llevarla a ella y a la audiencia al revelador final.

Y Silvestri es posible que sea el compositor menos valorado (a nivel de crítica) de los últimos 30 años. Me hice un ciclo personal de sus trabajos el año pasado y el tipo es increíble.

Por cierto, hablando de Silvestri... ¿cuando piensan editar Polar Express?. En el album original solo viene un corte de 6 minutos de su partitura, el resto son canciones...

No veo a B/D comentado lo nuevo de Giacchino
Yo creo junto con The Batman (obra maestra) y Lightyear (notable), Werewolf By Night es uno de los mejores scores de Giacchino de los ultimos años, no solo a un nivel de escritura (puro homenaje al genero del terror clasico), tambien de orquestacion y de instrumentalizacion, joder, es de lo mejor musicalmente que ha hecho para Marvel, junto con la primera Doctor Strange (y tambien de lo mejor que Marvel ha tenido musicalmente en estos ultimos tres o cuatro años)

Acabado de ver, el documental me ha parecido interesante, con algunas anécdotas muy buenas (no conocía, por ejemplo, la dey me ha encantado) y con un tono evocador respecto a toda la buena música que ha tenido la saga.Spoiler:
Eso sí, si uno no ha visto Sin tiempo para morir, mejor no ver el documental.
