Junto con Marco Beltrami en se campo, de lo mejor de la actualidad en el género.

Que poco que se habla de Beltrami, y que bueno que es como compositor. Un poco desaprovechado dentro de la industria cinematográfica.

Lo mas gracioso de Beltrami es que no le gusta el genero de terror (confesado por el mismo), pero no en el sentido despectivo, sino que nunca le atrajo, hasta que empezo a trabajar en Scream y Mimic con Craven y Del Toro, porque son gente que le gustaba explorar cosas distintas y planteamientos que le permitian hacer algo diferente que al final lo llevo a musicalizar varias peliculas dentro del genero.

Guerra Mundial Z por ejemplo, muchas de las percusiones son sacadas de calaveras de animales, manipuladas para que sonoran de forma extraña y convincente, junto con la orquesta y la electronica de la partitura, muy dinamica y tremendamente potente.

"If you're in any way a fan of the Alien franchise, you will absolutely love this movie," composer Benjamin Wallfisch tells me over a wider Zoom call about his work on another long-awaited sequel: Twisters (now playing in theaters everywhere). He continues: "I feel very fortunate to have been tasked with following in the footsteps of my heroes, — like I was lucky enough to do with my good friend Hans Zimmer with Blade Runner 2049. From a very young age, I've always been utterly terrified and fascinated with the [Jerry] Goldsmith and [James] Horner scores [of the first two movies]. When that opportunity came, it was just such an amazing moment for me. think Fede's done something very unique. I'm incredibly excited for people to see that film. It's very, very special and it was a huge challenge in the best possible way. The film had an incredibly high bar, as does Twisters. It was a wonderful journey to try and hit it."

Una curiosidad que dejo en spoiler sobre el diseño del ALIEN...

La figura a tamaño real que se ha visto por ahí tiene un agujero en el cráneo. Si os fijáis, en el plano final del trailer, cuando el alien "ruge" ante la prota, se puede ver la "cicatriz" en la cabeza del bicho. Curioso...

He puesto el último cartel como fondo de pantalla de móvil y aunque el título queda medio recortado y la niña y el bicho no se ven al 100% queda de la hostia.

Me gusta la tonalidad azul del póster.

Marvel acaba de anunciar que lanzará un cómic precuela de Alíen Romulus para el 16 de octubre.

Following next month’s theatrical release of Alien: Romulus, the latest installment in the groundbreaking Alien film franchise, Marvel Comics will proudly present an ALIEN: ROMULUS comic one-shot in October that tackles one of the film’s lingering mysteries.

On sale in October, ALIEN: ROMULUS #1 will be written by horror master Zac Thompson (ABSOLUTE CARNAGE: AVENGERS) and drawn by rising star Daniel Picciotto (DANNY KETCH: GHOST RIDER, X-FORCE). The upcoming film will take Alien storytelling back to its roots with a thrilling saga of young space colonizers coming face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.

Marvel’s one-shot will take place prior to the events of the film, providing an illuminating backstory behind the film’s main threat. Made in close partnership with Director Fede Alvarez and frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues, both of whom wrote Alien: Romulus, the comic is a must-have companion to one of the most highly anticipated films of the summer.

Sí, parece que tiene el morro más afilado de toda la saga, pero los xenomorfo de Cameron en Aliens son mis preferidos, son los que tienen el aspecto más mecánico de todos.

Yo leí sobre 40 millones por rodarse en Hungria pero no se que tiene de cierto esto
